SERVICE THAT'S WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD

After a twenty-year career with Kentucky Fried Chicken, Stan Thomas and his wife Earlene decided to try something different. Earlene brought twenty years of experience with Walmart from the Sam Walton years. With some coaching and encouragement from Stan's younger brother Butch, who was running a successful shop of his own at Mountain Man Pawn in Fayetteville, Stan and Earlene dove right in.
The first Big Brothers Pawn opened in Springdale in August 1991, stocked with a couple of pickup loads of military surplus and some garage sale and auction finds. Stan's sister, Faye Fleming, helped run that first store, and with a solid team behind them, business grew. In March 1995, longtime friend Jim Jones partnered with Stan to open the Rogers store. Bentonville followed in May 1998, led by Stan's youngest brother, Dale Land. In November 2011, our fourth store opened in Siloam Springs.
Today, Big Brothers Pawn is one of the largest collateralized loan operations in Arkansas, and after thirty-five years, we're still family-run. Dale Land, Stan's youngest brother, oversees all four locations as our area supervisor, while Stan's grandson Austin manages our Rogers store. Both also serve as company directors, helping guide the business into its next chapter.
We've always been more than a pawn shop.
Our stores are true general stores, packed with new and used merchandise.
Our team of about 30 people, from pawnbrokers to managers to office staff, shares one mission:
to give every customer a fair deal, friendly service, and a "Wow" experience, every time they walk through our doors.
